About the speakers:
Paul Peters
Paul Peters is the Chief Executive Officer of the open access publisher Hindawi. Paul has been working at Hindawi since 2004, and took over as the company's CEO in 2015. Paul was a founding Board Member of OASPA, and has served as the Chair of the OASPA Board since 2013. Paul is also the current Chair of the Crossref Board of Directors.
Falk Reckling
Falk Reckling is from Berlin, and studied Social Science, Economics and Statistics at the University of Potsdam, the University of Warwick and at the European University Institute at Florence. He has been working for the Austrian Science Fund (the FWF), the major funding agency for research in Austria, since 2001, where he was Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and from 2013 Head of the Department of Strategy - Policy, Evaluation and Analysis. He is also responsible for the Open Science Policy of the FWF.
Guido Blechl
Guido Blechl studied physics at the Technical University of Vienna and subsequently his postgraduate training for library service. He started working in librarianship in 1997, began coordinating the Open Access activities of the Vienna University Library in 2008, and became head of the Open Access Office of the University of Vienna in 2013.
